Installation Guide for 07-13 Toyota Tundra / 08-17 Toyota Sequoia Headlights with Sequential Turn Signal

INSTALLATION TOOLS
Plastic Panel Popper
1/4 Ratchet
Metal Panel Popper
Phillips Screwdriver
Pliers
1/4 Extension
Socket
Size NEEDED
PART I - REMOVE HEADLIGHTS
DISCONNECTING THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Whenever working on your vehicle always start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal.
REMOVE THE BOTTOM TRIM PIECES
Open the hood and located the 4 push on plastic retainers.
(2 for each side of the bottom trim piece)
Gently lift from the side and pull it straight outward.
Use the plastic panel popper to help you release the side joint pins.
Carefully pull the pins out by pull it straight outward.
Please repeat the same steps for the other side of the trim piece.
REMOVE HEADLIGHT BOLTS
Remove headlight bolts: 10mm (2 on the top and 1 from the bottom).
Please follow the same procedure for the other side
UNPLUG AND REMOVE THE HEADLIGHTS
Use panel popper to lift the headlights mounts and pull it outward to release.
Before removing the headlight, unplug the sockets and the level adjuster socket if equipped.
Please repeat the same steps for the other side of the headlights.
TRANSFER TURN SIGNAL BULB AND THE PLUG
Remove and transfer turn signal bulb plug to the new ALPHAREX headlight.
Next, connect the turn signal connector to the transferred plug.
Please make sure both of the headlights are transferred and plugged in order to function
properly.
PART II - INSTALL HEADLIGHTS
INSTALL ALPHAREX HEADLIGHTS & DRL HARNESS
With both headlights disconnected, now it’s time to install the DRL harness. You will need to
connect the red wire to battery’s positive terminal, the black wire to battery’s negative terminal or to the 10mm bolt of the fender grounding cable.
TAP THE FUSE AND ROUTE DRL HARNESS
In order for the DRL to function during the day, you will need to tap the grey wire into your IGN
fuse.
Close the fuse box and start routing the DRL harness to both headlights.
PLUG AND INSTALL HEADLIGHTS
Plug all of the headlight sockets to the new ALPHAREX headlight.
DO NOT USE DIELECTRIC GREASE!
Plug DRL wire and the level adjusted if your vehicle is equipped.
Please follow the same steps for the other side of the headlight.
Reverse the headlights removal process to complete installation.
TEST THE HEADLIGHT FUNCTIONS
Test the functions of your ALPHAREX headlights to ensure everything works properly.
ADJUST HEADLIGHT LEVEL
After headlights installation is complete.
You will next aim the headlight at about 25ft against a wall on a level surface.
Horizontal adjustment
Clockwise to lower the level
Counterclockwise to raise the level
Vertical adjustment
Clockwise to aim to the left
Counterclockwise to aim to the right
Please follow the same procedure for the other headlight.
COMPLETE INSTALLATION
Congratulations! you have completed the installation for ALPHAREX 2007-13 Toyota Tundra /
2008-17 Toyota Sequoia Headlights.
