Installation Guide for 17-19 Ford Super Duty F-250/F-350/F-450/F-550 Headlights

NOTE: Some vehicle require the DRL harness installed for the headlight to function properly.

PART I - REMOVE HEADLIGHTS
DISCONNECTING THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Whenever working on your vehicle always start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal
REMOVE THE RADIATOR SHROUD
Use a panel popper and start by removing (12) plastic push pins that is holding up the radiator shroud
        
REMOVE THE GRILLE
Remove the 10mm bolts from the top of the grille.
 
Then, gentle pull the grille outward towards you to loose from all of the mounting points and
remove the front grille. If your truck is equipped with Front View Camera Washer.
Please make sure to unplug the nozzle’s tube and the wiring before removing the grille.
REMOVE THE HEADLIGHT BOLTS
Remove the 10mm bolts and theT25 bolt from each of the headlight housing.
Use a ratchet to remove the top 10mm bolts from the headlight.
Remove the 2 X 10mm bolts and 1 X T25 bolt located on the side of the headlight.
Use an extension to help remove the 10mm bolt from side of the headlight.
Which is located inside of the front fender and the bumper mounts.
Please repeat the same steps for the other side of the headlight.
UNPLUG THE HEADLIGHT WIRING HARNESS
Carefully pull out the headlight and unplug the headlight wiring harness.
Please repeat the same steps for the other side of the headlight.
PART II - INSTALL HEADLIGHTS
ROUTE THE DRL HARNESS
Start routing the DRL wires from the passenger’s side which is the closest to the battery and fuse box. Connect the red wire to battery’s positive terminal and the black wire to
battery’s negative terminal or the 10mm bolt on the frewall.
Route the DRL wires to the both side of the headlights
TAP THE FUSE
Open the fuse box and locate the fuse 10A.
PLUG AND INSTALL THE HEADLIGHTS
Plug the wires into the new ALPHAREX headlights.
DO NOT USE DIELECTRIC GREASE!
NOTE: IN ORDER FOR THE NEW HEADLIGHTS TO FUNCTION PROPERLY PLEASE FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING STEPS
START FROM THE PASSENGER’S SIDE HEADLIGHT
Only plug the truck’sBLACK wire into the new ALPHAREX Headlight’s High/low beam socket. Leave the gray wire unplugged.
FROM THE DRIVER’S SIDE HEADLIGHT
Only plug the truck’s GRAY wire into the new ALPHAREX Headlight’s High/low beam socket. Leave the black wire unplugged.
Plug the turn signal and parking light wires into the new ALPHAREX headlight.
DO NOT USE DIELECTRIC GREASE!
Finish the installation by securing the headlight to the truck.
Please reverse the removal process to complete the installation.
TEST THE HEADLIGHT FUNCTIONS
Test the functions of your ALPHAREX headlights to ensure everything works properly
ADJUST HEADLIGHT LEVEL
After headlights installation is complete.
You will next aim the headlight at about 25ft against a wall on a level surface.
Clockwise to lower the level
Counterclockwise to raise the level
Please follow the same procedure for the other headlight.
COMPLETE INSTALLATION
Congratulations! you have completed the installation for ALPHAREX 17-19 Ford Super Duty headlights.
