Installation Guide for 19-23 Ford Ranger Headlights
THIS GUIDE IS FOR
NOTE: Some vehicle require the DRL harness installed for the headlight to function properly.
Do NOT use dielectric or any type of weather sealing grease on connectors or sockets.
Doing so will result in connection problems and will not be covered under warranty. Please click HERE for further explanation.

NOTE: Whenever using a power tool, please make sure do not overtighten the screws.
PART I - REMOVE HEADLIGHTS
DISCONNECTING THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Whenever working on your vehicle always start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal.
REMOVE THE RADIATOR SHROUD
Remove the 2 X T30 screws from the intake air duct.
Use a panel popper and start by removing plastic push pins that is holding up the radiator shroud
cover.
REMOVE THE GRILLE
Remove the 10mm bolts from the top of the grille.
Gently pull the grille outward in order to get it loose.
Unscrew the 2 X 7mm bolts from the radiator plastic cover.
Pull and push the plastic cover downward to till into an angle and pull it out for the removal.
Use a flat screwdriver to release the grille’s moulding clips from the left and right side.
Press down the mounting clips at the bottom of the grille and carefully pull it outward for the
removal.
Please set the grille aside for later re-installation.
REMOVE THE UPPER FRONT BUMPER
Unscrew the 7mm bolts from the plastic divider next to each of the headlights.
Use the panel popper to remove the plastic clip retainer.
Remove the T30 bolt and the 13mm bolt from the mounting.
Next, use the panel popper to help remove the side marker light assembly.
Gently push up the side marker assembly from behind of the front wheel well trim piece.
Unplug and remove the side marker assembly.
Unscrew the bolt and lift the wheel well trim to get it loose.
Carefully pull outward the wheel well trim piece in order to reach the headlight’s 7mm bolt.
Please uncrew the bolt and follow the same step for the other side.
Next, remove the 5 XT30 bolts. (3) bolts located from the center of the bumper, (1) bolt behind the
left bumper and (1) bolt behind the right bumper.
Carefully remove the upper front bumper and se it aside for later reinstallation.
REMOVE THE HEADLIGHTS
NOTE: DO NOT USE POWER TOOL! USE RATCHET INSTEAD TO REMOVE THE TOP HEADLIGHT BOLTS (Loctite type)
Remove the 2 X 10mm top heaghtlight bolts.
Remove the 10mm bolt from the side of the front bumper.
Use the screwdriver to remove the plastic clip retainer.
Remove the headlight assembly by pulling it outoward and unplug the light socket
Please follow the same steps for the other side of the headlight.
PART II - INSTALL HEADLIGHTS
ROUTE THE DRL HARNESS
Start routing the DRL wires from the driver’s side which is the closest to the battery and fuse box. Connect the red wire to battery’s positive terminal and the black wire to battery’s negative
terminal or the 10mm bolt on the firewall.
Route the DRL wires to the both side of the headlights.
TAP THE FUSE
Open the fuse box and tap into the fuse 10A.
PLUG AND INSTALL THE HEADLIGHTS
Plug the DRL wire and the lights socket into the new ALPHAREX headlights.
DO NOT USE DIELECTRIC GREASE!
Carefully mount the headlight assembly into the vehicle.
Secure the headlight’s bolts into the truck. Please follow the same steps for the other side of
the headlight. Finish the headlights installation by reversing the removal process of the
truck’s body parts.
DISABLE THE DAYTIME LIGHTS FROM THE DASHBOARD
In order for the new ALPHAREX headlights to function properly, we recommend disabling
the vehicle’s factory DAYTIME LIGHTS from the Settings.
TEST THE HEADLIGHT FUNCTIONS
Test the functions of your ALPHAREX headlights to ensure everything works properly.
ADJUST HEADLIGHT LEVEL
After headlights installation is complete.
You will next aim the headlight at about 25ft against a wall on a level surface.
Clockwise to lower the level
Counterclockwise to raise the level
Please follow the same procedure for the other headlight.
COMPLETE INSTALLATION
Congratulations! you have completed the installation for ALPHAREX 19-23 Ford RANGER headlights.
