The following installation guide we take you through the installation of your new ALPHAREX TAIL LIGHTS for your 19-23 Chevrolet Silverado | 20-23 Silverado 2500HD/3500HD step by step.

Do NOT use dielectric or any type of weather sealing grease on connectors or sockets.
Doing so will result in connection problems and will not be covered under warranty. Please click HERE for further explanation.

NOTE: Whenever using a power tool, please make sure do not overtighten the screws.

Whenever working on your vehicle
always make sure your vehicle is parked with the ignition off.

PART I - REMOVE TAIL LIGHTS

REMOVE TAIL LIGHTS SCREWS

Begin by opening the trunk gate, and then remove the two T15 screws on each side of the tail lights.

Gently remove the tail lights by pulling outward.

UNPLUG THE LIGHTS SOCKETS

To remove the tail light assembly, disconnect all the light sockets from the assembly and the connector located by the firewall. Please follow the same steps for the other side of the tail light.

REMOVE WIRING

Prior to removing the tail lights, it is essential to disconnect the entire wiring and unplug the sockets from the wire connections located under or behind each side of the rear bumper.

Disconnect the driver’s side tail light socket and remove the entire wiring from the tail light assembly. Please follow the same steps for the passenger’s side of the tail light.

To remove the wiring, use a pick tool to unclip the cable clips as shown from the pictures below.

Remove the entire wiring for complete removal.
Please follow the same steps for the other side of the tail light.

PART II - INSTALL TAIL LIGHTS

PLUG THE TAIL LIGHTS AND ROUTE THE WIRING

FOR VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH FACTORY/ STOCK LED TAIL LIGHTS
If your vehicle is equipped with factory/stock LED tail lights, it is essential to install the new ALPHAREX tail lights along with the optional converter. For vehicles equipped with stock Halogen tail lights, there’s no need for the converter.

Connect the converter to each of the new ALPHAREX tail lights and proceed with the installation.
DO NOT USE DIELECTRIC GREASE!

Start by plugging the tail light connector into the firewall. Guide the wiring connector of the new ALPHAREX tail light towards the connection location, and then proceed to install the tail light
assembly into the vehicle.

Secure the tail light into the vehicle by using two T15 screws to fasten it in place.
Please follow the same steps for the other side of the tail light.
NOTE: Whenever using a power wrench, please make sure do not overtighten the screws.

Route the tail lights’ wiring to the connector location by following the reverse of the removal process. Plug the driver’s side socket into the corresponding connection and the passenger’s side
socket into its respective connection. Make sure the connection is securely tightened by engaging the red clips. DO NOT USE DIELECTRIC GREASE!

COMPLETE INSTALLATION
