Excellent New Highlights - Look Great - Very Good Support - One important note tho...

I purchased the Alpha Rex 11-16 Ford Super Duty PRO-Series Halogen Projector Headlights Chrome (sku# 880141) as replacements for my stock OEM Ford 2011 F250 6.7L Lariat original headlights. Installation was pretty easy with the Alpha Rex installation video. NOTE: You don't need to pull the bumper off the truck!!! All connections were straight forward and easy to make. After connecting everything, I tested the lights and noticed the passenger side turn signal did not work at all. I checked my connections, and all was good, but it still didn't work. I called Alpha Rex - Tech Support and they were very helpful troubleshooting it with me. They expedited shipment of a new passenger side headlight housing at no additional cost for me to install. After installing the new passenger side headlight and making the connections... I had the same issue with the replaced passenger side turn signal...wouldn't blink at all. Drive side worked but not passenger side. So, I begin trouble shooting thru a system of elimination and determined it was a truck issue and not an Alphas Rex Pro issue. I checked the fuses, check the bulbs, replace female harness on the truck side, swap bulbs with the working headlight blinker, DC light tested everything, etc...... After some research online I found out that the Ford F250s from 2011-2015YR are prone to throwing Body Control Module (BCM) codes for aftermarket headlight installs. It has to do something with detecting non-factory settings for the voltage irregularities... not sure exactly of the specifics. Then, I went to my local mechanic and he had a code reader that can see BCM codes. Sure enough...I had (2) codes... right and left turn signal BCM faults. He cleared the BCM codes...BINGO!!!.... everything worked on the passenger side turn signal as it was suppose to... It seems the 2011-2015 Ford F250 BCM will shut down the lighting circuit if it senses an irregular reading and then locks it out until the repair is made and code cleared. This is important to know on this model truck. Important experience for anyone DIY installing aftermarket lights on this truck. Also, I was unhappy with the brightness of the high-beam H7s bulbs from Alpha Rex... I replaced the shipped bulbs with Sylvania Silverstar Ultra H7 halogens bulbs. These are 4100K and are street legal near white halogens. Big high-beam improvement. I love the fresh new modern look on truck with these headlights. Good luck.
