So I’ll start off with these headlights do look really cool on the rig. The black housing with the orange daytime light are great. Now the bad. They are not bright. Oncoming headlights cut right through these. Alpharex told me to replace the bulbs with a brand of led that doesn’t exist anymore. I found the smallest leds and they still didn’t fit. Ended up having to get fanless ones which made them a little better. Stock headlights are much better as far as function go. Now for the worst. The finish on one of the headlights is coming off on the top of the housing after only three years with mostly garage parking. When I contacted alpharex they told me that it’s because I polished them with a machine and there’s no other possible way it would do that. I definitely did not polish them. They claim that it can’t be a bad finish damaged by sunlight because sunlight would have damaged the lights evenly followed by plenty of other ridiculous reasons why it’s my fault. They basically made every wild excuse they could. I will never buy from them again. Save your money and buy some quality lights. There’s a reason why alpharex is so much cheaper than other brands.
I put these on my truck, had to guess which fuse to tap into since there were no instructions. Got them on and everything working, went for a test drive and couldn’t see anything. Dims were not very bright and brights were non existent. They were on but no improvement on being able to see. I swapped the bulbs with my aftermarket LEDs I had in my stock headlights(which was a pain in the butt due to spring retainers and the weather cap not fitting back on one of the headlights without alteration). And still no difference. My recommendation, if you don’t drive at night you’re fine, but if you’re going to use your truck everyday like me, DO NOT BUY!!!
I have had so many problems with the wiring on these headlights. They look great and are bright but I don’t think this problem will get fixed. I’ve gotten every professional I can find to fix this. Probably won’t buy Alpharex headlights again since I just wasted $1300.
Love the way they look, not has smoked has the picture but still looks and works amazing
I bought these tail lights for a 23 Ram 2500 with factory halogens. Fit and finish was superior to my OEM halogens. I installed them with the resistors and they worked great in my shop without the truck running but I noticed a delay on the passenger tail light when hitting the lock or unlock button on the first press. 2nd press was uniform. I didn't think much about it until I drove it and the passenger light went into hyper flash and error code came up. I talked with a tech and they sent me different resistors . I was really optimistic they would work but, unfortunately same issue with right tail light. I was really bummed when the rep told me they probably just weren't compatible. I still question whether I just had a bad tail light. I would have definitely given them 5 stars if they would have worked.
